If there is one thing many people had to do in 2020 it was film themselves for lectures, conferences and presentations as access to traditional videographers was not available. Video is a great tool and one that educators have had to use more frequently. Perhaps this has now whetted your appetite for creating more and you want to enhance those skills, or you are just dipping your toe in the water. Photography is something many of us are passionate about, including me, and so good for our wellbeing whilst we couldn't venture far. There are so many options for taking photos from using smartphones through to DSLR and mirrorless cameras. It really doesn't matter what you use you can still get great results. Live Streaming and hybrid events are the new buzz words and not as difficult as you think. About Me
I have been training people like you since 1991. In all that time I have shared practical experience and not just how to video or photograph. Knowing the settings is one element of what I teach you but also cover different scenarios and what I have done in particular situations.
I also listen to what it is you want to acheive and work with you to reach those goals.
I recognise that taking photographs and making films is more than just a job, I think for most it is a passion and like to encourage you to share that.
As much as I like technology and do find it useful to have the right tools, that is the cameras and all the gear that goes with it, it is important to realise that it is not just the technology but using and enjoying what you can do with it. Today even the most basic gear, and that includes smartphones, can be mastered to get great results. I look at that and will also help you make the best choices and how to use it.
If you know me, you will know I don't like using all the technical words to explain how things work.
The pandemic has given us new challenges both for me teaching and for you having to create your own content. Learning online has many benefits and having been involved in remotelearning and live streaming for many years I can use these to help give you a great experience in learning. I look forward to when we can all get together to learn face to face but recognise that moving forward online has its place too.
