It might seem an odd combination a filmmaker and photographer who also teaches digital skills. Well I started off as an engineer and also trained in film production. I actually don't see much difference as both very technical and as an engineer had to do some computer programming, yes, even back in the 1980s when I was studying engineering.
The technical side comes easy so that allows me to concentrate on telling your story whether it be a video or photography.
I love teaching and its probably obvious that I teaching video, photography, editing. Photoshop and Lightroom but I also teach Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, VBA and Zoom, I've even done the Microsoft Certification, even if that was a while ago I still keep up to date and regularly make video tutorials that I put on YouTube.
If you know me, you will know I don't like using all the technical words to explain how things work.
The pandemic has given us new challenges both for me teaching and for you having to create your own content. Learning online has many benefits and having been involved in remotelearning and live streaming for many years I can use these to help give you a great experience in learning. I look forward to when we can all get together to learn face to face but recognise that moving forward online has its place too. As you will see from my YouTube channel I have been doing this for over a decade. Click here for my YouTube channel.
